( 1- 1) Houston Rockets 23 19 33 30 - 105 (Chris Paul 23)
Houston shook off the rust in round 1 to take down the unheralded 76ers and powered to a game 1 victory over the Cavs (wasn't this supposed to be the NBA Finals matchup??). IT's a whole different ball game today, however and Dr J and the Cavs strike back at Houston and level the series (not to mention wrestle away home court). Adam is getting a little worried that the season long dominance has yet to materialise in the playoffs and the Cavs are a serious opponent for any team. Usual suspects for Clevaland with DrJ taking front stage and Penny, Dikembe and Camby. Chris Paul does what he's supposed to for the Rockets but I'm thinking right about now Stockton would have been the difference maker… Anyone's series here of course but are the Cavs now the favourite?

( 2- 0) Syracuse Nation 39 24 47 32 - 142 (Phil Chenier 24)
The Syracuse Nationals are for real folks - just check out the 47 point third quarter as they literally take Nash's Wizards and spank them up and down the court for a huge 31 point blasting in front of a raucous home crowd. Massive board differential was the reason the loss was so heavy - just 35 total boards for Washington. Gallatin owned the boards for Nationals with 14. Ty takes the team back home and back to the drawing board to work out how to protect home court and make this into a series.

( 1- 1) Utah Stars 25 38 28 28 - 119 (Larry Bird 32)
Magic a near perfect game, Larry goes off for 32 and Vince Carter continues to play well for the Stars… but what's this? A 10 point loss at home! Those pesky Chaps have been playing with injuries all year long and managed to hang around and get hot at just the right time to level off the series. Chuck Halbert has been damn ridiculous! 24 points and 17 boards to go with 3 blocks! Techs for both the Bobs and a double for Gatling only seemed to fire them on to a great game. Jerry West dished out 14 dazzlers to go with his 16 points, Payton had 28 and 8 himself. Magic had 21 points (75% shooting) and 15 assists, Larry had 32 and 10 boards but Duncan wasn't able to grab a rebound hardly throughout the game and ended with just 5. Back to the board for the Stars as the Chaps erase that home court advantage that you work all season for…

( 1- 1) Kentucky Colone 39 30 27 26 - 122 (Dominique Wilkins 27)
The Colonels get a crucial win - certainly don't want to go back to San Antonio down 2-0. But it surely wasn't easy either; Westbrook continues to rip apart Kentucky's guards and Brook Lopez was a force down low. Wilkins, Dampier and of course Jabbar play well enough to hold on in the end, but with the shift back to San Antonio this is an interesting series that could easily go 7.
