Don't know if Nige is back from Vegas yet so am sending the games to Ty for the writeup if he'll take them....thanks Ty!
Yes Commish I am back and Ty you are relieved of your duty! For those not intensely following the saga of my life I am back from Vegas! Good news and bad news… I still have to go to work is the obvious bad news but the good news is I didn't lose any more money than I allocated to lose - and that takes some restraint in Vegas! I'm sure most of you Americans have been to Vegas but it's a city that you have to go 'wow' a few times whether you love it or hate it. The Grand Canyon was also pretty cool and (understatement coming…) big. Highlight for me was probably catching one of the Cirque shows at Treasure Island - awesome stuff and seeing Chriss Angel was pretty cool too :)
Anyway, the other bad news is that my nan died just before I got back. It's a shame as she was 99.9 years old but the best thing for a dying 99 year old is to pass away gently in her sleep so we're thankful for that and planting a tree for her on Friday in lieu of a 'funeral'. Grace Dorothy Jennings born 20 November 1913; this one's for you :)

(30-23) Oakland Oaks 29 24 25 29 - 107 (Paul Pressey 23)
(44-10) Houston Rockets 26 34 31 21 - 112 (Karl Malone 36)
Yes Houston is a machine and only the time machine Harlem Rens look capable of stopping them right now! Good fight by the Oaks in Houston to make it competitive but the thing about the Rockets that makes them so good is that they always seem to win the close games. Karl Malone is their main offensive weapon as usual as well as being the best player on any court today. Paul's Silas and Pressey led the way for Oakland and nearly was enough to pull off the upset. Dwight Howard only played 20 odd minutes and was pretty ineffective but still loves Houston apparently...
(34-18) Utah Stars 31 35 12 34 - 112 (Magic Johnson 23)
(16-37) Anaheim Amigos 25 28 22 33 - 108 (David Thompson 25)
More good news is that the Stars scrape past Anaheim on the road to chalk up their 34th win of the season and sneak back in front of the Colonels for the number one spot in the ABA (though the race for ABA supremacy is far from over). No Larry Legend today as he sits out for a couple with his nagging back injuries, but Magic has been on a tear recently and records another efficient nearing triple double performance and number two on the tops list today. Double doubles for Derrick Coleman, Tim Duncan and Magic for Utah and Pervis Ellison for the Amigos but DT was the top overall scorer in a whirlwind fourth quarter. Of note Kelly Tripucka scored 4 points in his limited playing time but they came off one official shot attempt and that was enough to give Utah the lead in the last few minute and a quiet Vince Carter provided the final triple to seal the game.
(22-31) New Jersey Amer 18 26 26 27 - 97 (Damian Lillard 19)
(25-26) Pittsburgh Cond 34 33 26 34 - 127 (Paul Pierce 24)
It must be a good day to be called Paul as Pierce steps up and leads the Condors to a victory and pulls them within a game of .500 ball. 16 rebounds in 26 minutes and a double-double for Clifford Ray kept the Condors out of reach of the Americans all night.
(20-31) Minnesota Muski 33 18 26 36 - 113 (Deron Williams 24)
(22-31) Chicago Bulls 25 38 27 32 - 122 (Dirk Nowitzki 36)
I still love Dirker in a Chicago uniform. Tony sent me a Chicago top which I wear regularly even though you are probably all aware I support a different team - still, I've proclaimed Chicago as my 'East' team from now on so I love to see them do well (especially when the play the Celtics). Dirk's 36 was just too much for Minnesota and places him 3rd on the charts today.
(12-40) Phoenix Suns 28 30 27 33 - 118 (Jrue Holiday 25)
(37-15) Washington Wiza 18 32 41 29 - 120 (Latrell Sprewell 25)
How good are the Wizards this year? They've got just 5 more losses than the Houston Rockets - 'nuff said! The Suns really pushed the Wizards today though in DC - Steve Nash saved the day with a triple in the last thirty seconds that gave the Wiz the lead and they just held on. Nash has been the catalyst for the Washington outfit this year and bringing him in has really energised the team - only 6 points (all in the fourth) and 9 assists today though but Sprewell was there to pick up some slack. Jrue Holiday may be a bright spot in the future for the Suns and he matches Latrell for game high honours.
(29-25) San Antonio Spu 32 28 30 26 - 116 (Toni Kukoc 25)
(21-31) Baltimore Claws 31 23 28 31 - 113 (Javale McGee 22)
The Spurs ride into Baltimore and snatch away a game from the Claws. Last season when the Spurs were poor and the Claws were pretty dominant at home this wouldn't have happened but the Claws have lost their sharps and are already looking ahead to next year… new boy Javale McGe finally gets some playing time and rewards Kik Jnr with 22 and 9 in 30 mins. Darrell Griffiths and Antwan Jamison cost the Claws the game with poor shooting but Kukoc was on target for the Spurs and gets them back on track and staying in the playoff position they've earned thus far. Check out Greg Ballard's stats for the day - 22 and 12 in limited action with high efficiency and a top 10 ranking :)
(38-15) Detroit Pistons 33 14 29 24 - 100 (Bob Feerick 27)
(27-25) Philadelphia 76 31 21 36 36 - 124 (Steve Francis 18)
The 76ers give the Pistons a fair bashing at home - believe me that's not easy to do as the Pistons have been dumping on most of us regardless of venue and drop just their 15th game of the year. Total team effort by the 76ers whilst Detroit is led by the amazing Bob Feerick as usual. Great win to get Philly back fired up and pushing for the playoffs?
(24-29) Harlem Rens 26 23 25 34 - 108 (Brian Taylor 23)
(36-16) Syracuse Nation 34 39 24 34 - 131 (Sam Cassell 25)
Harlem is a carbon copy of Baltimore as a power house performer that's lost its focus on this year and is looking ahead to next where Kwame has already unofficially claimed they will beat everyone regardless of home or away! Today though they met a very good Nationals squad who have the firepower of Lebron and Oscar… but Sam-I-Am is the man today in the blowout victory thanks to a hot second quarter. Don Buse is a defensive STUD even in a losing effort today and Brian Taylor makes a top-ten entry too.
(19-33) Indiana Pacers 30 28 18 40 - 116 (Paul Millsap 26)
(19-34) Portland Trailb 37 23 28 20 - 108 (Yao Ming 24)
Battle of 33 loss teams goes to Indy on the road as they edge out Portland. Neither team was originally planning on being this bad at the start of the season but both have improvement plans in place and will be back stronger next year (hey, that's a theme I see…). Another Paul with a good day in young Millsap in Indiana. Yao Ming is really tall you know...
