UBAS Season 4 Day 135
My Knicks insist on playing .500 ball for the remainder of the season which is a pain in the butt as I was looking to pitch at 60+ wins and now mid-50s and a bottom 4 seed seems entirely possible :( It's a great time of year to be hot... who is?

Two contenders square off in Minnesota and the Pipers edge out the Firestones despite the Akron boys surging attack in the fourth quarter. TMac was the star of the day for the Pipers but gets hit with the injury bug in the waning seconds. Walt Frazier iced the game from the free-throw line. Mikan outscored Hakeem, but Hakeem had the better all-round game and stayed out of foul trouble!

When your team sits high above the rest in the talent heavy conference why aren't you the favourite? Bucks have by far the best record in the league, but still feel they have something to prove... Miller sure knows how to score and do it efficiently.

Stan said it yesterday, the Chiefs are up and down alright. Last week I got to write about the break of their 5 game losing streak so it only seems fair that this week I get to write the break of their 4 game winning streak... The Hornets are no slouch and they take down the Chiefs in Hawaii with relative ease behind another stellar game from Chris Bosh.

Stars roll past Texas at home to keep their playoff hopes alive. Somehow the Knicks managed to lose to a Texas side without Dirk or Derrick in their last game.. sighs...

There's a chance neither of these teams make the playoffs - but they are both really tough and would give many of the top seeds a difficult run over 7 games. Today they battle toe-to-toe and Love's Sounds edge out the Bullets

Speaking of hot and cold - Cincy puts that mid-season slump behind them and is finding form with a great 2pt win over the Rockets who seem to be stuck in first gear recently. Mutombo was big with 18 points and 19 boards to lead the Royals - but they lose Yardley in this one late and that may hurt their final push.

(51-21) Seattle Superso 27 39 32 29 - 127 (Kevin Garnett 24)
Seattle continue to put pressure on the top teams in the NBA and are having a great battle for the top spot in their division with the Lakers - they've both now leap-frogged over the Knicks but still sit a few games back of the Bucks (and probably unlikely to catch them barring a Milwaukee collapse).

Oshkosh is a team that you don't want on your schedule this time of year - they're probably not going to catch the 8th spot in the NBA conference but they're a team that sometimes plays really well and can cause you plenty of problems. Kansas is quite the reverse and have suffered a horrible (if predicted) season - that said they're probably going to pick up a couple more wins (I think the commish pegged them at 11) so hopefully not against my team!!
