Tuesday’s games coming a bit later this week - reason being the commish forgot to send them to me last night… rumour has it this was because he was celebrating at the outcome?

(29-17) New York Rens 24 24 33 18 - 99 (Gilbert Arenas 26)
(17-29) Texas Chaparral 33 29 23 30 - 115 (Terry Dischinger 23)
A strange day when the Rens lose on my writeup? The reason was simple, they stopped scoring and Texas didn’t. TD for 23 and another high output from Arenas but to no effect.
(17-28) Philadelphia Sp 39 31 30 23 - 123 (David Thompson 29)
(21-23) Oshkosh All Sta 28 28 26 30 - 112 (Clyde Lovellette 22)
High quality win for DT and the Philly outfit on the road in Oshkosh. Bernie Price played 7 minutes and had 2 points before learning he was on the next flight out of town to Trenton...
(26-20) Memphis Sounds 27 21 28 32 - 108 (Chris Mullin 20)
(22-23) Denver Rockets 38 32 42 28 - 140 (Michael Jordan 20)
Denver rights the ship to .500 ball and takes out possible playoff foe Memphis handily in the process. Some fella called Jordan led the Rockets.
(15-30) Washington Gene 31 33 25 24 - 113 (Moses Malone 20)
(28-18) Akron Firestone 33 35 24 35 - 127 (Ty Lawson 28)
The Firestones and Generals were both disappointing at the start of the season… Washington… well… they’re still disappointing and another game that was winnable after three turns into a blowout. Lil’ Ty Lawson is the starting PG in Akron which is surprising for a team with championship aspirations again, but Ty can fill it up in a hurry and dishes at a decent rate.
(27-19) Golden State Wa 37 26 28 29 - 120 (Larry Nance 27)
(23-23) Buffalo Braves 33 27 32 30 - 122 (John Drew 33)
Back to .500 as the Braves outlast the Warriors in a fun matchup; including a nice shooting duel between Larry Nance and John Drew - Drew wins the battle and the war as his 33 led all scorers and the Braves hang on for the two point win. Steph Curry may have only played 15 minutes but he drained the game winner with a few ticks left and the Warriors fumbled the inbounds and were never able to get off a winner or tying shot.
(27-19) Baltimore Bulle 29 29 36 24 - 118 (Tom Heinsohn 26)
(17-27) Brooklyn Indian 36 21 29 19 - 105 (Kevin Durant 22)
Durant’s a monster, but the Indians aren’t scaring anyone right now and the Bullets roll them over with a strong second half showing and good team ball. No Kiki for Brooklyn but Alvin Robertson has been nice this year (though the old timer looks a little out of place on the team of young guns).
(15-29) Dayton Metropol 25 36 25 26 - 112 (Russell Westbrook 35)
(11-36) Atlanta Hawks 34 26 31 34 - 125 (Peja Stojakovic 26)
Hawks get win number 11!! Dayton were close but a massive fourth quarter start with 9 quick points from Peja and suddenly the game blew open. Through three quarters it looked like Westbrook was going to win the game on his own with 35 points leading all scorers today.
(33-11) New York Knicks 21 37 28 19 - 105 (Wilt Chamberlain 24)
(31-14) LA Lakers 36 21 27 25 - 109 (Tim Duncan 30)
Okay, let’s keep this short and sweet. Knicks on the road lose a close one to the Lakers. Top 10 players for the both Duncan and Robinson and no-one close for the Knicks yet the game still came down to the last few possessions. League leading rebounder Wilt could only muster 9 for the game and DC was totally ineffective in the second half and the Lakers capitalised. 1-1 for the series… (why do I always get my team losses as write-ups??)
(20-25) Charlotte Bobca 28 28 22 33 - 111 (Oscar Schmidt 26)
(19-26) LA Stars 22 29 29 30 - 110 (James Worthy 27)
The Bobcasts upset the double header in LA tonight with a gutsy 1 point victory thanks to Oscar Robertson’s all-round play and the scoring of the Brazillian blur Oscar Schmidt. JW put the Stars up by 2 as time was winding out but Schmidt fired from range as the buzzer sounded and the ball hit nothing but string quartet for the upset.
