I'm thinking of moving house again... I've got a great place but have to drive everywhere (okay, 10 mins to the beautiful sea, 7 mins to school, 5 mins to mall)... Maybe I want it all but when it comes to real estate there seems to be three key factors; location, location and location. Maybe the same is true of the NBA and the UBAS; what's more important the way your team looks or where it sits? Good to see some spirited jostling around the Hornets name... My opinion is that it's right where it is now all the time the GM wants it there, remember it (peli)can always be worse!
We lost my match tonight agains the top of the table by 7... Not too bad. Ironic moment came in the fourth when I got tied up, found no pass on and was forced to shoot over the frontline of the opposition as the 24 second expired... Shot went down and our young punk shooting guard 20 odd years my younger said to me 'why don't you pass it eh?'. Ironic because of the team stats where I had over two thirds of the team assists on the game... He had none of course, but was pissed because I criticised him for his hero ball play before. Still he top scored for us some I'm sure he was happy... I even blocked a shot today and that's rarer than one of his assists!
Injuries

( 2- 4) St Louis Spirit 37 26 33 35 - 131 (Mark Aguirre 26)
( 1- 5) Kansas City Ste 39 21 28 37 - 125 (Elvin Hayes 30)
Someone had to get a second win and the entertaining Spirit continued their entertaining ways and scored a close win over Big E and his Steers... Sure looks like Kansas to me...
( 1- 5) Original Celtic 32 25 31 27 - 115 (Carmelo Anthony 21)
( 4- 2) Philadelphia Sp 39 23 32 28 - 122 (David Thompson 27)
The Originals have lost 5 but have played hard in every game (maybe time to check your crunch settings coach?). DT outguns Melo and puts Philly in a good spot at 4-2 after they were forced to work for it.
( 1- 5) Oshkosh All Sta 19 22 30 25 - 96 (Bill Spivey 25)
( 4- 3) Cincinnati Roya 30 24 29 36 - 119 (Connie Hawkins 23)
There's something about the name Hawkins in basketball players that makes you think about accuracy and Connie is a mean basketball player (how good would he and Hersey be on the same squad?). Oshkosh brings in new guys but get the same treatment from the starting to roll Royals.
( 5- 1) New York Knicks 25 33 33 30 - 121 (Hersey Hawkins 26)
( 2- 4) LA Stars 31 23 22 25 - 101 (Shaquille O'Neal 20)
"You see I like that" every good commentator (and a few bad ones apparently) need a catchphrase, and I love to see my own team play well on my write up days! Was I just talking about the Hawk? Hell yeah Hersey can ball regardless of what his PER and UBA rating say and the UBA program deep down knows it too - he's one of those glue guys in the system. Knicks know this is not their year but love the start and get a solid away win over Diesel and his Stars. This year Gilmore and Hawk are playing defence at a very high level and A-Train tops the charts on that again blocking 5 of O'Neal's shots.
( 3- 4) Wilkes-Barre Ba 19 18 30 22 - 89 (Karl Malone 15)
( 6- 1) Milwaukee Bucks 32 31 35 33 - 131 (Reggie Miller 34)
Anyone expect the Bucks to get a little revenge on the Barons. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Remember the bit in Wayne's World when Alice Cooper gives a lecture on Milwaukee? "We're not worthy!" (But big game James is). Miller with dagger after dagger in the beat down and today's MVP. Anyone else think Wilkes Barre Barons is the team name equivalent of Metta World Peace? Probably has more meaning though...
( 2- 5) Golden State Wa 23 27 42 29 - 121 (Michael Redd 23)
( 2- 4) Harlem Globetro 31 31 34 33 - 129 (Chuck Chuckovits 33)
Chucky's revenge comes with 33 big ones today as he finally gets unleashed to face a duel with fellow scorer Redd. Today it worked and Chucky kept firing and making and the Globies get a nice win over the Warriors who have yet to make their mark on season 3. How long can you leave it in the ultra tough NBA conference before it becomes a problem?
( 2- 4) Anderson Packer 31 30 28 31 - 120 (Wilt Chamberlain 28)
( 4- 3) Brooklyn Indian 35 19 31 22 - 107 (Kevin Durant 32)
Wilt is staying in Anderson... For now. Rumours were flying that the Big Dipper wanted to play in a bigger market but for now the king of the bigs is staying and dominating for the Packers as they record a great away win over Durantula and his Indians (sounds like a great B Movie title!).
( 2- 5) Texas Chaparral 27 16 27 24 - 94 (Derrick Rose 19)
( 5- 2) Charlotte Bobca 42 26 38 25 - 131 (Glen Rice 27)
The Bobcats have to live with their name for now at least and take out their anger on the new look Chaps. Arguably the best team over the first two seasons (hey, who's side are you on here?) they have entered full scale rebuild at a scary rate. Derrick Rose to Da Chaps? Yes Sir says real life Bulls supremo Tony and the future... Is not now. Glen Rice and Billy the Kid don't care and rip apart the Chaps today.
( 2- 5) Trenton Tigers 20 37 27 26 - 110 (Elgin Baylor 27)
( 6- 1) Hawaii Chiefs 21 31 33 31 - 116 (Ray Williams 26)
Trenton were supposed to be kicking ass early this season but have faltered out the gates whereas the Chiefs have come out like a Bull and are playing great ball early. They didn't have it all their own way at home against the Tigers as Baylor has been a wrecking crew of one early on. Ray Williams today led the way for the Chiefs who sit proud atop the ABA at 6-1.
